I am staying in a house in houston, but many more family members (more than 20) are coming here and its a big house, but not that big. Some apartment complexes are even offering help to evacuees, such as one month leases and discounted rates. If you can find an apt for 500 with a one month lease, you'll be saving a bundle rather than staying in a cheap hotel (motel 6 = $35 a night x 30 nights = 1000+ a month)

Most complexes that I have called have been very nice and helpful. The only problem now is finding one that is furnished for cheap, which is pretty hard. All you really need is an air matress for wal-mart I suppose.

yeah all my cousins moved there 5 years ago and they love it. i want sophie to have lots of family growing up and i want to live in a cooler climate and see what its like to have 4 seasons; not just hot & humid. not to mention the schools there are fucking incredible.
